This morning, Sylvia and I went to tour a local magnet school (Stix, for you locals). I think if I toured this school first of all the schools I've toured, it would've been fine. Good, nice, lots of diversity (love that), but just fine. Now I'm not here to judge anyone who has chosen this school. It's seems like a nice place for kids, small, manageable, fun, active. I just believe that I know where my heart is for her, and this isn't it. I told Dave that thus far, Stix would be the first free school choice for kindergarten. So if all else falls through, and we decide to send her public next year, this is at the top. But I have many more places to check out, plus these magnets are under lottery, so there is always the possibility she wouldn't make it in.
Anyway, Easton finally broke free of his 3 day crazy fever fest, which amounted to huge naps and long overnights (ahhh, I could get used to that, minus the constant whining and non-stop nursing that went with it). I think the second day, the worst day of all, he slept a total of 17 hours (12 hours straight at night, a 3 hour morning nap, and a 2 hour afternoon nap). Of course, his crap sleep schedule resumed and I knew he was feeling back to his old (young) self.
We spent the weekend hanging with my 2 nephews, ages 7 and 2. Having 4 young kids around was very overwhelming and tiring, but fun was had by all. At one point, my mom brought all but Easton out to Monkey Joe's to play. But youngest nephew walked in, saw all the bouncy stuff, and threw up his cheerios with excitement. I wish I could've witnessed that! My poor, tired mom.
This is turning out to be a boring post. Should I end it with how gassy I was at the gym tonite? Oh my, it was terrible. And of course, Monday is like the busiest night there, full of men surrounding all the weights, which is kinda intimidating. Especially when your belly is turning circles from accumulating gas (it was just air, no stink, f.y.i.). Did that liven up the post? I'm kinda digging for gold here, maybe I should end with some photos.
